Parents are legally responsible for the continuing attendance of their child at school. Attendance is compulsory during the normal school hours and absences can greatly affect your child’s progress. Students are not allowed off the school premises during school hours
If you are absent for any period of time, you must provide a note to your Tutor Group teacher. Alternatively you can phone the school and have a message passed on. Students are expected to be on time at the beginning of the day and to all their classes. Students arriving late are disruptive to the class and interfere with other student's leaning. Following lateness to school on 3 occasions, an after-school detention will be issued. Lateness to class is dealt with by the classroom teacher.
Students are expected to be in full school uniform every day. Sports Uniforms are required for Sport and PE classes.
These are brought to school at your own risk The school, takes no responsibility for lost belongings and cannot provide money lost at school. If you have something of value, your coordinator will be more than happy to hold it for safe keeping
Schools are not allowed to administer medication. If your child requires medication during the course of the day please notify the Coordinator.
are allocated at the start of each year. Students pay a deposit when they first enrol at the school and receive a refund when they return the lock. Bags are not permitted in class and we ask students to remember that they are responsible for keeping their lockers clean.
Newsletters are distributed to students each fortnight and on line. The newsletters are numbered and cover all important dates, and let you know what is happening in the College. Copies can also be collected from the front office.
Formal reports are written at the end of each semester. Details of students’ participation in extra-curricular activities and extension programs are also included in an ‘Enhancement Program’ Report which is included. Progress reports are distributed at the end of Term 1 and, where appropriate, at the end of Term 3. Parent / Teacher interviews are conducted at this time, with dates published in the school newsletter.
Permission forms must be returned to the teacher responsible for the excursion at least three days prior. Students without the appropriate approval cannot be taken out of the school.
Booklists are distributed at the end of each year and give you a detailed list of all class equipment required.
